SUMMER YOUTH EMPLOYMENT TRAINING PROGRAM (S.Y.E.T.P.)

To obtain the application and the program requirement form simply click the REGISTER tab on the website. There you will find the forms at the bottom right of the page. Download and return. Online Applications will be available starting Tuesday April 1st, 2025.

Tuesday, April 1st through Friday, April 18th, 2025, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm you may pick up applications at New Horizon/Faith Temple, located at 1518 NW 17th Ave., Pompano Beach, FL 33069 or at the City of Pompano Beach Parks and Recreation Center and Pompano Beach Human Resource Department. You may mail or drop off your application in the drop box located at New Horizon/Faith Temple location. 

 

Applicants must obtain a letter of recommendation from one of the following: Guidance Counselor, Teacher, Pastor, Principal or Assistant Principal or other professional. The letter must be written on official letterhead and state why the student should be considered for employment with S.Y.E.T.P. Also, each student must submit a copy of their most recent report card. All completed applications must be returned to New Horizon/Faith Temple by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2025.

You will be notified by email or phone regarding the date and time of your interview. Interviews will be conducted at Faith Temple on Tuesday, May 6th thru Friday May 9th, 2025, during the hours of 4:00pm to 6:30pm. (All applicants are required to dress professionally for the interview.)

The Pompano Beach Summer Youth Employment Training Program (S.Y.E.T.P) is a 6-week summer employment opportunity for youth ages 13-15. The program begins on Monday, June 16, 2025, and concludes on Thursday, July 24th, 2025. Youths are selected through an interview process and assigned to various businesses in Pompano Beach for 4 days per week. Selected Youth will participate in a MANDATORY weekly training June 16-20, 2025. Closed on June 19, 2025.
