Monday, April 12th through Friday, April 23rd, 2020 9:00 am to 5:00 pm you may pick up applications at New Horizon/Faith Temple, 1518 NW 17th  Ave., Pompano Beach, FL 33069 or at the City of Pompano Beach Parks and Recreation Center and Pompano Beach Human Resource Department. You may mail or drop off your application in the drop box located at New Horizon/Faith Temple. 


Applicants must obtain a letter of recommendation from one of the following: Guidance Counselor, Teacher, Pastor, Principal or Assistant Principal or other professional. The letter must be written on official letterhead and state why the student should be considered for employment with S.Y.E.T.P. Also, each student must submit a copy of their most recent report card. All completed applications must be returned to New Horizon/Faith Temple by 5:00 p.m. on Monday April 26, 2021.

You will be notified by email or phone regarding the date and time of your interview. Interviews will be conducted from Tuesday, May 18th to Friday May 21st, 2021 during the hours of 4:30pm to 6:30pm. We will use every precaution to comply with the CDC requirements on social distancing and wear a mask.


The Pompano Beach Summer Youth Employment Training Program (S.Y.E.T.P) is an 6-week summer employment opportunity for youth ages 13-15. The program begins Monday, June 21, 2021 and concludes on Thursday, July 29th, 2021.Youth are selected through an interview process and assigned to various businesses in Pompano Beach for 3 days per week. Selected youth will participate in a mandatory weekly training each Monday.
